Like father like son. Danny Ward, foreground, renowned South Whidbey saxophonist, was hired recently by his son, Lanny Ward, standing, to perform with the Lanny Ward Quartet for an NBC special preview of primetime shows planned for 2005-06. They also performed together at the famous Rainbow Room in Manhattan. Lanny Ward grew up listening to his dad perform with a number of jazz greats. Lanny Ward now has his own music career with his quartet performing at jazz clubs in New York. He is also a successful model for print media.
